Connect Laptop or Phone to TV with an HDMI Cable

If you’re trying to watch Fearless content on your TV, but Chromecast or Airplay are not possible for you, you can still watch content on your TV by directly connecting your laptop or phone to the TV with an HDMI cable. If you want to use your phone, you will likely need an HDMI adapter to connect the cable to your phone.

To connect a laptop to a TV:

  1. Locate the HDMI port on the laptop and the HDMI port on the TV.
    1. a. If the laptop does not have an HDMI port, then you can always use an adapter for an HDMI cable that would connect to your laptop.
  2. Connect one end of the HDMI cable to your laptop.
  3. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to your TV.
  4. Using your TV remote, switch the Input (sometimes also called “Source”) to HDMI and start streaming.

To connect a phone to a TV:

  1. Locate the HDMI port on the TV and grab the HDMI adapter for your phone.
  2. Connect the adaptor to your phone then to one end of the HDMI cable.
  3. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the TV.
  4. Using your TV remote, switch the Input (some remotes call it “Source”) to HDMI and start streaming.
